Woodlands Triathlon to impact traffic Saturday morning
This Saturday, more than 1,300 people will stroke, pedal and run their way through The Woodlands for the CB&I TRI - The Woodlands Triathlon, bringing road closures with them.
The course starts and finishes at Northshore Park and winds its way along Lake Woodlands Drive to Research Forest Drive, cuts down Six Pines Drive and Timberloch Place to Woodlands Parkway, then loops around the Sterling Ridge Shopping Center before heading back down Lake Woodlands Drive to North Shore Park. As a result these roads will have lane closures 6-10:30 a.m., with the lanes reopening on a rolling basis starting around 8:20 a.m. The Woodlands Township recommends that residents plan to take alternate routes and avoid the roads affected by the race.
